Blue Heron Tióšpaye was honored to attend the 2026 ASLA Conference in Los Angeles for “Indigenous Stewardship: Guiding Relational Design Practice.” Presented by Paul Fragua, Monique Bassey, and Steve Laravie, Jr., the session shared how Indigenous knowledge, relationships, and stewardship can guide our connection to the land and our responsibilities to future generations.
Blue Heron Tióšpaye had the honor of joining Paul Fragua, Jose Leal, and relatives from Chief Ya’Anna Regenerative Learning Village for a Talking Circle at the 2026 ASLA Conference in Los Angeles.
Together, we shared conversations around Indigenous knowledge, ceremony, land stewardship, restoration, and our responsibilities to future generations. The Talking Circle created space for Indigenous-led organizations to share, learn from one another, build relationships, and explore ways we can continue working together.
For Blue Heron Tióšpaye, building these relationships with relatives who share a commitment to land, culture, community, and future generations is an important part of our journey.
