Steve Laravie, Jr. serves as the Director of Blue Heron Tióšpaye. He is Isáŋti Dakȟóta and Ponca and brings a strong commitment to community, land stewardship, and Indigenous ways of knowing. Steve helps guide the vision and direction of the organization, builds partnerships, and supports work that centers culture, sustainability, and future generations.
Sloan Rupp
Sloan Rupp serves as Chair of the Blue Heron Tióšpaye Board of Directors. He is Wahpéthuŋwaŋ Dakota and brings strong leadership, cultural grounding, and a deep commitment to the mission of the organization. Sloan helps guide the board’s work, supports long-term visioning, and ensures that Blue Heron Tióšpaye efforts remain rooted in community values and responsibility.

Holly Yellow Eagle
Holly Yellow Eagle serves as Secretary of the Blue Heron Tióšpaye Board of Directors. She is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sičháŋǧu Lakȟóta) and brings strong organizational skills, cultural knowledge, and a commitment to community-centered work. In her role, Holly supports board governance, documentation, and communication to help ensure the organization operates with transparency and care.
Suzanne Mealer
Suzanne Mealer serves as Treasurer on the Blue Heron Tióšpaye Board of Directors. She is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sičháŋǧu Lakȟóta) and is deeply connected to the mission and future of Blue Heron Tióšpaye. Suzanne brings a strong commitment to community, culture, and relationship-building, and supports the organization’s work through thoughtful leadership and collaboration.
