Steve Larave, Jr.

Steve Laravie, Jr. serves as the Director of Blue Heron Tióšpaye. He is Isáŋti Dakȟóta and Ponca and brings a strong commitment to community, land stewardship, and Indigenous ways of knowing. Steve helps guide the vision and direction of the organization, builds partnerships, and supports work that centers culture, sustainability, and future generations.

Sloan Rupp

Sloan Rupp serves as Chair of the Blue Heron Tióšpaye Board of Directors. He is Wahpéthuŋwaŋ Dakota and brings strong leadership, cultural grounding, and a deep commitment to the mission of the organization. Sloan helps guide the board’s work, supports long-term visioning, and ensures that Blue Heron Tióšpaye efforts remain rooted in community values and responsibility.

Suzanne Mealer

Suzanne Mealer serves as Treasurer on the Blue Heron Tióšpaye Board of Directors. She is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sičháŋǧu Lakȟóta) and is deeply connected to the mission and future of Blue Heron Tióšpaye. Suzanne brings a strong commitment to community, culture, and relationship-building, and supports the organization’s work through thoughtful leadership and collaboration.

Seth Lewin

Seth Lewin serves as Secretary on the Blue Heron Tióšpaye Board of Directors. Of Northwestern European descent, Seth is a dedicated environmental and cultural advocate with a deep respect for the natural world and the communities connected to it.

He brings to Blue Heron Tióšpaye a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, community building, and the protection of life and land. Guided by a belief that we all share a responsibility to care for the places we inhabit, Seth values learning from and honoring the Original Peoples and ancestral stewards who have cared for these lands across generations.

Through his service on the Board, Seth supports Blue Heron Tióšpaye’s mission of fostering meaningful connections between people, culture, and the land while helping create a sustainable future for generations to come.
